What started out Tuesday morning early as a direct flight from Atlanta to Joberg ended up being a 5 day roundabout adventure through Atlanta, Minneapolis, Amsterdam to Joberg, then finally Durban. Aside from having to wear the same outfits for 5 days, we figured the Lord would have us arrive exactly when he wanted us to arrive. Stepping off the plane, the beautiful ocean breeze and subtropical sunshine warmed us— totally worth the wait, San Diego weather, 75-85 degrees. We were greeted by Temple President Baldwin and his wife Vanessa, who gave us a nice tour of Durban including our first glimpse of the temple. So much beauty, such lovely people with a multitude of culture and languages— pinch us, we have arrived in heaven!!
