Getting to the Point

Just to be clear, and not confuse visitors to our blog, yes, we really are on a mission. The entire temple staff and workers were locked out for two weeks for maintenance so what are us missionaries to do?!?!
No trip to the Cape is complete without a trip down the peninsula. As you can see in the photo, we visited the southwestern most tip of the African continent: Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope (formerly known as Cape of Threats because of all the myriad of shipwrecks that have happened here)..

Welcome home! There are those that say we all originate from South Africa. This country does get into your blood—perhaps there is something to that.

Ahhh, we caught a little South African beach time with the penguins at Boulders colony

Muizenberg, a popular surf town

Renting a car gave us the freedom to also explore the beautiful Atlantis Sand Dunes north of Cape Town.

Hairnets required under the helmets— hmmm…. Don’t let the dorkiness fool you… there’s some serious speed demons disguised as mild-mannered missionaries in this photo, ha ha

Beautiful, fluffy white sand dunes with Table Mountain in the distance—can it get any better?!?!
