Our new friends, the Meyer’s, from Wuhan, China have been members for 20 years. They live right near where the Covid virus got loose and Esmeralda was in lock down for 3 months away from her children before she was allowed to go home. They come to Durban for a week each year to do temple work. We love their amazing spirits as they come every day to serve in the temple. We invited them to attend Sacrament meeting at our Berea ward which they did. Amazing how you can love some people so much after just one week of being around them. They will be back next year for their annual trip to the temple! Can’t wait!!
Esmeralda is a precalculus teacher in China where the students love math and try to stump her. Her two sons came to Durban with them. The older son did baptisms in the temple. Their daughter is married and expecting their first grandchild any time now! Esmeralda is about to become a grandma!!
